Rie joined RAN’s Japan team in 2024, as a Finance Campaigner for both forest and climate programs. Rie has more than 7 years of experience in environmental non-profit work and biodiversity conservation work. Before joining RAN, Rie worked on climate policies of Japanese major property & casualty insurance companies as a part of the Insure Our Future network. Her journey as a campaigner started about 10 years ago, for the sustainability of the Indonesian palm oil industry. Her love for nature and biodiversity also brought her to the Junior Park Ranger role in Ise-Shima National Park, Mie, Japan.
