Allison joined RAN’s Climate and Energy team in 2024 to spearhead the campaign and engagement strategy urging the world’s largest banks to redirect financing from fossil fuels to a just clean energy transition. She works closely with the research team behind the annual Banking on Climate Chaos report, managing extensive correspondence and briefings with banks based on the BOCC’s analysis.
Allison brings over a decade of expertise in climate finance, coalition-building, and strategic communications, honed through her work to advance US domestic and international climate and clean energy policies.
In her previous role as Managing Director of the BankFWD climate finance initiative, she led client-side climate strategies to accelerate bank decarbonization, co-producing the influential Carbon Bankroll report.
As Associate Director of Special Projects and Partners at Climate Nexus, Allison shaped and delivered impactful climate narratives, media stories, reports, coalitions, and campaigns on a range of climate topics.
In 2017, Allison co-founded and co-managed We Are Still In (now America Is All In), a 4,000+ member nationwide coalition committed to upholding US climate goals following the announcement of the US withdrawal from the Paris Agreement. She played a crucial role in developing and implementing the coalition’s core strategy from 2017 to 2022.
Allison holds an MA in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a BA in Development Studies and History from Brown University. She serves on the board of Regenerosity, supporting grassroots organizations in protecting and restoring traditional lands while building food sovereignty and economic independence through regenerative practices.
Allison grew up in a household actively engaged in indigenous land and rights struggles. The social anthropological work of both her parents, particularly their work with indigenous groups of the Brazilian Amazon, informs her enduring commitment to forest protection, a livable climate, and activism that elevates and is accountable to frontline defenders.
