Aditi joined RAN in 2022 as the Climate and Energy Program Director and guides the overall strategy and day-to-day management of RAN’s climate and energy program. This program focuses on tackling fossil fuel expansion and financing by getting the world’s largest financial companies to develop and implement comprehensive climate and human rights policies to guide their lending.
Aditi has worked at the nexus of climate and sustainable development for over 15 years and brings a deep commitment to centering human rights and equity in climate action. She was previously at Oxfam where she led corporate engagement on climate issues for the Behind the Brands campaign. This campaign pushed the world’s biggest food and beverage companies to adopt science-based climate targets, and to implement commitments on deforestation-free and exploitation-free supply chains. Aditi also provided strategic leadership for Oxfam’s work on food, land use and climate with a focus on amplifying approaches that not only protect forests and ecosystems but also strengthen the rights and livelihoods of indigenous peoples and vulnerable communities. In this role, she facilitated collaboration across multiple teams to bolster policy advocacy and supported programs and partnerships in countries.
Aditi is author of several publications including Tightening the Net: Net Zero Climate Targets – Implications for Land and Food Equity. Her analysis and commentary have featured in several media outlets including the New York Times, NPR and CNN. Prior to joining Oxfam, Aditi worked with Verra and the World Bank. Aditi holds a graduate degree in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and an undergraduate degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She is currently based in Washington DC.
