Here are some simple steps you can take to stop Wall Street from financing the dirty coal that's cooking our climate.
Organizing and action materials can be found here.
- Sign our petition that calls on Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Credit Suisse, JPMorgan Chase, Lehman Bros. and Goldman Sachs to: (1) enact strong climate, environmental and social policies and (2) defund the Bush administration's energy plan that expands the utility sector with 159 new coal-fired power plants.
- Start a petition in your hometown: Download the petition here, as well as tips for getting signatures. After the petitions are filled out, download this excel file to enter the names you get and email it to activism@ran.org.
- Pass out flyers in front of your local Wall Street 7 branch!
Contact Wells Fargo CEO Dick Kovacevich and tell him that Wells Fargo should stop lootin' and pollutin'. Wells Fargo is the largest U.S. bank operating without social and environmental safeguards to prevent destructive investments that harm communities and ecosystems around the world.
