Join RAN’s growing network of activists using grassroots consumer power and direct action to challenge corporations to protect human rights and the environment.
As Outreach Coordinator, you will coordinate tabling and other outreach efforts as well as recruit, train and support volunteers to help build RAN’s network of activists.
Projects may include:
- Coordinate volunteers to table on nationwide concert tours (this summer, we are participating in the Warped Tour, for example) and other festivals such as Green Festivals
- Increase the visibility of RAN and its campaigns through tabling, classroom announcements, events, and other outreach.
- Communicate and register with event coordinators
- Develop a calendar of events and other outreach opportunities
- Recruit and schedule staff/volunteers to participate in outreach efforts
- Train new volunteers in outreach skills
- Manage materials and mailings for outreach events
- Review and develop new outreach and training materials
- Data entry to maintain activist contact list (not to exceed two hours/week)
- Assist with other grassroots organizing projects as needed.
Skills needed:
Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills. Must be self-directed, committed and able to work well in a less structured work environment.

This is an unpaid internship for a minimum of 15 hours/week. We will work with students to receive school credits where available. Interns are directly supervised by an experienced staff member and are also given the opportunity to participate in the day-to-day operations of a campaign or department, as well as the chance to be part of one of the most effective organizations around.
Although there is no stipend provided for the internship, RAN reimburses daily commuting costs (up to $7 per day).
